Ready. Set. Set: Flush & Cluster Stone Setting

Learn how to flush set stones and create small cluster arrangements while developing precise layout and setting techniques. In this class, students will practice these processes while creating a finished jewelry piece featuring multiple flush-set stones.

This workshop is designed for students who already have basic metalsmithing experience and are ready to expand their stone setting skills.

Techniques Covered:

• Layout and spacing for stone clusters

• Layout and seat cutting

• Flush setting small stones (4-6mm)

• Filing and finishing around settings

• Surface refinement and polishing

Materials:
Cabochon stones, all sterling silver, and all tools/equipment are included.

Skill Level:
Intermediate. Prior metalsmithing experience required. Students should be comfortable with soldering and fabrication techniques.

Schedule:
This class is 6 hours total, divided into two sessions.
