Twist Bracelet Workshop

Create a sculptural cuff bracelet while learning foundational metalsmithing techniques. In this class, students will solder two wires together, twist them to create a striking pattern, and then form the metal into a cuff bracelet.

After twisting, students will solder the ends, shape the bracelet to fit the wrist, and finish the surface for a polished final piece.

Students may choose to work with two sterling silver wires or combine sterling silver with copper or brass for a mixed-metal design.

Techniques Covered:

  • Soldering wire ends

  • Twisting metal wire to create pattern

  • Forming and shaping a cuff bracelet

  • Filing and finishing

  • Surface refinement and polishing

Materials:
Mixed-metal bracelet materials are included- silver with copper or brass. Students may choose to upgrade at checkout for an all sterling silver experience.

Skill Level:
Beginner. No prior metalsmithing experience required.

Schedule:
This workshop is 3 hours total.

What You’ll Leave With:
A finished twist cuff bracelet and experience with foundational metalsmithing techniques.
